People Can Fly and Incuvo released a free major update today for Bulletstorm VR that brings Horde Mode and a suite of improvements, while also launching the game on the PICO VR platform.

We recently announced that multiplayer will be coming to Green Hell VR on PS VR 2, Quest 2, and Quest 3 platforms in the last quarter of 2024. Players will be able to experience the full story with their friends. Hunt together, heal each other, talk on the walkie-talkie - and survive as a team in the jungle. July is another month where we are sharing new co-op information with our audience and releasing new multiplayer screenshots.We're excited about the new gameplay possibilities as we get closer to this major update.

We are excited to announce the expansion of Green Hell VR to the Meta Quest + subscription service! This challenging jungle survival adventure, launched on Meta Quest 2 in April 2022, can now be enjoyed by even more virtual reality players on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3. We are thrilled to announce that Bulletstorm VR - an exciting VR adaptation of a cult-classic shooter from People Can Fly studio - is coming to PSVR2, Meta Quest 2 and Steam VR on January 18th. 

The reveal date was announced through a new, action-packed trailer, presented during gamescom’s Opening Night Live 2023.

Bulletstorm first appeared as a flatscreen release in 2011, developed by People Can Fly, who later co-developed flatscreen games Gears of War: Judgment and Outriders. Set in the 26th century, this FPS sees you playing Grayson Hunt, a former black ops soldier turned space pirate that crash lands on Stygia. Notably, Bulletstorm emphasizes the "skillshot" system for rewarding creative kills.

Incuvo has officially announced the development of Bulletstorm VR for Meta Quest VR devices and PlayStation VR2. It's been over 12 years since the release of Bulletstorm, developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games.

There’s two releases of Green Hell VR: one for Quest 2 and one for PC VR. While the PC VR version is full translation of the original, the Quest 2 version of Green Hell VR is not the exact same experience as the flatscreen game. Green Hell VR on Quest 2 follows the same story beats, but it’s a more focused and streamlined version that pares down aspects of game to accommodate for the limitations of standalone VR.

Thanks a lot for all your support throughout this release - we are so humbled by the reception of our game and we continue to gather feedback from our players. This time, as a thank you, we are releasing a brand new UPDATE to the game adding a lot more fun things to experience in Green Hell VR.

From manually rubbing sticks together to start a fire, to literally throwing a grapple hook up a cliff to manually climb, Green Hell VR does VR better than most made for VR games do VR. If you are a fan of survival games and own PCVR, this is a must buy 100%.

Incuvo is bringing Green Hell VR to PSVR in 2023, following on from the Quest release last month and the upcoming PC VR release.

Based on many reactions to it so far, it seems Green Hell VR is one of those major steps forward, and it’s available now on Oculus Quest 2. It does remain to be seen how this Incuvo-developed game is received overall, but everything appeared positive heading into its release.

Alongside the Quest release date, there’s also a new trailer for that version of the game, embedded above, featuring footage exclusively from the Quest 2 port. While we had seen some snippets of Quest footage, this is the best look at that version of the game yet. It’s certainly not as crisp and detailed as the PC VR version, but it also doesn’t seem as bad as it could be.

Developer Incuvo stopped by to show a new look at the port of the Creepy Jar game. It demonstrates the physical actions players will enact in the game, from firing a bow and arrow to chopping down trees and bandaging yourself. Incuvo is making sure the elements of the original flatscreen game feel truly native in VR.

The developer released the trailer for the game last week, showcasing some of the first official gameplay for the project. Originally developed by Creepy Jar, Green Hell is a jungle-set survival game in which players face all kinds of dangers, many of which are seen in the trailer below.

Starting today, Bloober Team’s psychological and psychedelic horror hit, Layers of Fear VR, is available for PlayStation VR. This is another step in the company’s strategy to make its best psychological horror games available to the widest VR audience possible.

Green Hell is a popular open world wilderness survival game that’s getting a VR port for Quest and PC VR headsets later this year. We took some time to catch up with the developers behind the port and find out what makes the game such a great fit for VR.
